The logos of both The Dormant Group and Dormant Services feature an abstract image of a diving pelican. It’s from one of my favourite photographs that I managed to take by accident. I was trying to take photograhs of pelicans at a beach in Montserrat, with the sun behind them. I was surprised, and chuffed, when I saw this image on my computer. I’m still not sure how I achieved the double exposure effect. I must have been moving the camera when the shutter was open. Nevertheless, I claim all the credit.
This is the original image, complete with dust spots. It didn’t need much manipulation to turn it into something suitable for the logo.
